Leninism is anti-Marxian, and ante-Marxian.  Leninism is [state-]capitalist.

Leninism is a bloody, ruling-class ideology -- an ideology in Marx’s sense, and an object to be answered by withering critique in Marx’s sense.

The Leninist ideology was used by neo-Jacobin, putschist, [state-]capitalist parties to seize dictatorial state power from ‘sub-capitalist’, crypto-feudal ruling classes, and/or from weak, capitalist-imperialism-suppressed, comprador bourgeoisies, in the largest ‘proto-national’ territories of the global “semi-periphery” -- ‘semi-peripheral’ to the geographical capitalist core of capitalist-imperialist nation-states.

Its effect was to enrich the tiny new, state-bureaucratic ruling classes of the resulting one-party state, police-state, totalitarian, ‘proto-state-capitalist’ regimes, at the expense of the vast majority of the rest of the populations of those territories.
These new, state-bureaucratic ruling classes employed state-terrorism to perpetrate a new channel of original/primitive accumulation of state-owned industrial capital on the backs of the thereby hyper-exploited peasantry and nascent wage-working class majorities there.
These new, state-bureaucratic ruling classes did so in order to construct national military-industrial complexes designed to be sufficient to save the power of those new, state-bureaucratic ruling classes from external overthrow by military invasions from the capitalist geographical core, by order of the capitalist-imperialist nation-states’ private-capitalist ruling classes.  This ‘‘‘salvation’’’ of the new state-bureaucratic ruling classes’ power to rule was intended to be via deterring those private-capitalist ruling classes from military attacks upon the state-bureaucratic ruling classes’ subjugated national territories.
This induction of military-industrial-complex-forming “primitive accumulation” and industrialization, by the capitalist core, in these semi-peripheral territories, by threat of military overthrow of their new, bureaucratic ruling classes is the key initial transmission mechanism by which the private-capitalist world-market “law of value” also shaped these nascent, ‘proto-state-capitalist’ nation-states, at a time when their vast territories afforded them a degree of autarkic potential, and a transiently-survivable relative isolation from international trade.
These ‘proto-state-capitalist’ transients were destined to bifurcate into one of two main more-sustainable trajectories. 
Either new popular revolutions therein would succeed in transitioning them to state-dominated, mixed private-capitalist/state-capitalist, nominally-capitalist-democratic authoritarian oligarchies, the democratic aspirations of their people thwarted by the still-dominant power of the core, capitalist-imperialist nation-states. 
Or, their initial, semi-autarkic ‘proto-state-capitalist’ formations, relatively isolated from world market international trade, would give way, on the backs of failed internal popular revolutions, to full-fledged state-capitalism, on the ‘national super-corporation’ model, dependent upon success in international-commerce, and tolerant of subordinated elements of private capitalism under the domination of the sustained dictatorship of their Leninist state-bureaucratic ruling classes.
This is all prelude to, and part and parcel of, the globalization of proletarianization -- the formation of a world-wide working class, and the conversion of “hinterland”, ‘evolutely-«aufheben»-conserved’, archaic social formations into full-fledged, hybrid, state/private capitalist nation-states, increasingly state-capitalism-leaning -- ever-more-so with every amplitude-augmented “global great recession”.
This universalization of the wage-labor-relation-of-production must precede the formation of a global polity, and of a working class universal interest, that, alone, can potentiate a global transition to a ‘trans-capitalist political-economic democracy’, to ‘global renaissance’, and to global human flourishing.

A Seminal Motif that is Mostly Still Missing from ‘‘‘The Modern Mentality’’’ as a Conscious Conceptual Resource.







Dear Reader,



There exists a key conceptual insight and resource, one crucial for comprehending our world -- our universe, our cosmos -- even merely up to the level already latent in the data of modern science, that the prevailing -- capitalist -- «mentalité» still hides from itself.

That concept is that of what we call ‘onto-dynamasis’, which is about the ‘dynamicity’ of the actual ontology of our cosmos as a whole.
Ontology is dynamical, and, for the most part, cumulatively growing.  Our cosmos is continually adding new kinds -- new, previously unprecedented categories of “being”, or, better, of “becoming”, of ‘‘‘eventity’’’ -- to itself.
The ontological content referenced and represented by old, existing, already cognized ontological categories continually interacts, and, crucially, also self-interacts, in ways that continually irrupt new ontological content -- content, at first not yet cognized,  that needs to be referenced and represented by new, previously-unprecedented names and categories.

Our cosmos is a veritable cornucopia of the continual genesis of new ontology.  It is and always has been an engine of neo-ontological creativity. 
That onto-dynamical creativity applies also to we humans as part of that cosmos.  And the ontological creativity of the human part of Nature includes a new ‘onto-dynamical’ dimension, that of ideo-onto-dynamasis, as well as new kinds within the old dimension of physio-onto-dynamasis, or of ‘«physis»-onto-dynamasis, and also includes, especially, those parts of the human [sub-]creation that exhibit the correlated co-creation of new ideo-ontologytogether with new physio-ontology.  Example:  the money ‘‘‘meme’’’ within the human Phenome, correlated with coin objects.

This view of ontology is 'ontologically pluralistic' with temporally-increasing ontological plurality, in opposition to 'ontologically reductionist' monisms, dualisms, 'triadisms', etc., but is also 'meta-genealogical', or 'lineage-ic', tracing back to original, singular, 'ultimate ancestor' ontological categories, or ultimate arche' categories, for the cosmos as a whole --  the universe as ultimate totality -- and for each of the Domains which constitute its 'sub-totalities', or 'sub-universes'.

However, when it comes to ‘quanto-dynamics’, that kind of dynamical paradigm pervades the modern worldview. 

In its elaborated expressions, this pervasion includes the state-space representation of “evolution”, in which a coordinates-point, representing the total “state” of a given “dynamical system”, moves in a “space” formed by a fixed number of mutually-perpendicular dimensions and axes, each one representing and measuring, quantitatively, a [qualitatively] different “vital sign”, or “state-variable”, of that system, thus constituting the “coordinates” of that system’s ‘state-point’ in its “state-space”.  The variation with time of the quantitative values of these “vital signs” thus traces out a unified trajectory in that “space”.  [“Total”-] differential equations, describing the “law” of motion of the given system, can then be solved by well-known methods [if those equations are “linear”, or sufficiently close to “linearity”], yielding a solution-function that one can use to deterministically compute the momentaneous state of that system for any moment, i.e., for any value of the “Real”-number time parameter, past, present, or future.

But such a state-space is a fixed space, with a fixed dimensionality, and a fixed spectrum of system qualities or system attributes, represented by the state-variables and their axes.  There is no provision for qualo-dynamics -- for ‘onto-dynamasis’; for the emergence or irruption of new system ontology, with its new system qualities, its new system attributes -- should the evolution of a given system arise to the point of [ontological, qualitative] revolution, or ‘‘‘meta-evolution’’’.
For example, if a system evolves to a “singularity” -- e.g., if the solution-function computes, in forward time starting from at a specific, finite value of the time parameter, a state involving a division by zero -- there is no provision, in the contemporary canon of state-space analysis, to compute a ‘change of space’ at and after such a point of “singularity”, where the values of one or more of the old state-variables/state-dimensions “explode” to “infinity”. 

By a ‘change of “[state-]space” ’, we mean the as-if irruption, as-if from the “origin” of that state-space, of one or more new state-variable dimensions and axes, thus changing the dimensionality of that state-space, and measuring the new, “emergent” or ‘irruptant’ qualities or attributes that are signified, however obliquely, by the very division by zero that creates the “singularity”.  Nor is there provision, in the contemporary canon, for one or more of the old state-variable dimensions and axes to as-if collapse back into that “origin”; to wither away or undergo dissolution, nor for some former control parameter space axes to become new state-variable, state-space axes, nor for some former state-variable state-space axes to transfer to new axes in the also thus changing control parameter space.  The Seldonian NQ_ arithmetic for dialectic is axiomatically designed  to facilitate its users in conducting onto-dynamical computations, but, however, not at the state-space/control-parameter-space, nonlinear differential total-equation level, but at the much simpler, algebraic, ontological-categorial combinatorics level, using a heuristic solution-algorithm.

Until the cosmological ubiquity of the ‘qualitative dynamism’ of self-changing, self-expanding ontology -- and the ubiety and localization of the latter as the ‘“universal labor”’ of human Nature -- becomes more widely grasped within the advancing human Phenome, Terran humanity will go on not noticing key discoveries, and, hence, key opportunities, that are already extant in the data of the modern sciences, but not yet cognized as such.

The Avengers Movies Hyper-Popularity as a Psychohistorical Phenomenon in the Seldonian Sense.







Dear Reader,



The global box-office surge for the latest of the Marvel Comics movies -- “Avengers: Endgame” -- is, without doubt, a ‘‘‘psychohistorical phenomenon’’’, in the Seldonian sense:  one that cries out for a similarly ‘‘‘psychohistorical’’’ explanation.

The reviewers at the YouTube “Wisecrack” channel argue that the resonance viewers feel with this concluding sequel has to do with three paradigms of time -- of human history: of the structure and content of human historical time -- with all of which the vast viewing audience of this film feels comfortable.  The following link will take you to that YouTube review-video --

These three paradigms of historical time are being played out, in this movie, and its many “prequels”, per the “Wisecrack” reviewer, at the level of the life-story arcs of individuals, of the individual personalities who constitute key characters in this series:  Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man.
Per this review, Captain America embodies a “fixed point” of unchanging, “eternal verities”; a quasi-Parmenidean paradigm of time: certain ethical principles, certain values, are unchangingly true for all times, e.g., Captain America’s hostility to bullies of all stripes.
The Thor story, on the contrary, instances the kind of “cyclical time” paradigm common in ancient mythologies in particular, and in the pre-modern mentality in general.  Thor’s story is of an undulation of dizzying, supernatural high points, followed by devastating low points, followed by re-ascendance to the heights again, and so on..., albeit with a slight hint of “helical” progression in that “circulation”, e.g., toward greater self-acceptance, in that otherwise mostly circular, hence gainless, ride.
Iron Man’s story, contrary to both the Thor story and the Captain America saga, per the reviewer, embodies the modern, rectilinearly progressing, ever-improvement «mentalité» about temporality.

These three paradigm’s, we find, are, indeed -- if perhaps unconsciously, or only semi-consciously -- known to, and ingredient in, the contemporary viewer psyche.  But all three miss a far more realistic paradigm about time, which we shall call, here, the ‘helical-vortical’ view of time.

Per this, fourth, view, short-term “cycles” are integrated together with a rectilinear progress of continuing advances, each on a new, unprecedented, higher scale.  But there is also an ‘intra-duality’ to this progression, in which, to advance in one dimension requires, for a time, a “progression” into adversity in another, coupled dimension, until a ‘‘‘singularity’’’ irrupts, in which both dimensions can finally advance together, the adversity healed.

At the level of our common history, as humanity -- as the Terran human species -- there is no better expositor of this paradigm than Karl Marx. 

In his view, the progress of the social forces of production -- of the ‘self-productivity’ and ‘Meta-Darwinian fitness/self-reproductivity’ of humanity -- is purchased, throughout the epochs which Marx calls the ‘‘‘prehistory’’’ of humanity [which includes the capitalist epoch -- today!], by an ever-deepening side-ways dive into growing social alienation. 

Beginning at a minimum of social alienation, in “primitive communism”, within each tribal community [but not between them], this social alienation waxes in phases, from “detribalization” and the cleavage of society into opposing classes -- of slaveholders versus salves; of “lords” versus serfs, etc. -- and in the form of the growth of “universal alienation”, at first as “production for alienation” -- production of commodities for sale, and selling [“alienation”] of commodities, at first, by petty producers -- and finally, in the extremity of social alienation that is capitalist society, by “self-alienation” -- ‘self-selling’; “universal prostitution”; i.e., wage-labor -- and by the world of estrangement -- the world of strangers -- which results therefrom.
But Marx also predicts that this social alienation dimension will not go on deepening forever. 
At a certain point in the growth of the social forces of production, social conditions will become ripe for a return movement, back from the capitalist extremum of social alienation, toward a new, higher minimum of social alienation, i.e., toward a return of human solidarity and community, but, this time, not only within small tribes, but on a global scale: “socialized humanity”.
These Marxian, historical observations, and predictions, instantiate a ‘helical-vortical’ paradigm of time.  The radius of the “circular”, “cyclical” aspects of the structure and content of human history keeps widening in its “sideways” dimensions, encompassing more and more, richer and richer historical material, including the dimension of deepening social alienation.  But this widening spiral also rises vertically, including by signifying the progress of the human social-reproductive forces.  At a certain stage in this progression, the social forces of production reach a maximum that coincides with a new, higher minimum in the social alienation inherent in the new social relations of production: UNITED  HUMANITY, or higher communist society [by which I most decidedly do NOT mean Lenino-Stalinoid [proto-]state-CAPITALISM], starting with what we call ‘Equitarian Society’, or 'Equitist Political-ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY'.

This ‘helical-vortical’ paradigm of history can also be observed -- if we grow “eyes that can see” -- at the individual scale, in our own personal histories, in the triumphs and tragedies of our own social lives.

State-Capitalism is Still Capitalism.







Dear Reader,



State-capitalism is still capitalism, as Engels noted so well, in Anti-Duhring.
The “Socialism” against which “conservatives” rail, is really just state-capitalism, the ultimate form into which national ‘private” capitalisms, due to their immanent, ‘essence-ial’ dynamics, inevitably converge:  the “end-state” of capitalism itself.
The utopian “Socialism”, the snake-oil which ‘Lenino-Stalinoids’, and ‘Lenino-Trotskyoids’, ‘Lenino-Mao-oids’, Castro-oids, Madero-oids, ILs, and Uns all try to sell you, is STILL CAPITALISM -- STATE-CAPITALISM, the worst-of-all form of capitalism for the working class majority.

Real socialism, real communism, is a grass-roots-driven political-economic democracy.  It is a restored and extended political democracy, via the restoration of political checks-and-balances, against the wholesale prostitution of the “representative-democratic” state by the overwhelming wealth-power and money-power of hyper-concentrated capital ownership, by the potentially non-violent, majoritarian institution of rule-of-law, constitutional economic checks-and-balances.  It’s antediluvian seeding, still within capitalism, is via the emergence, within capitalism, of competing worker-owned producers’ cooperatives -- ‘worker’s capital’; ‘workers’ capitalism’, as Marx noted so well in volume III of Capital.
