Dear Reader,

 

Have you noticed that, lately, major software apps that you may ostensibly “own”, or to which you “subscribe”, or to which you used to subscribe, interrupting your work, forcing their marketing messages upon you without the slightest prior effort to obtain your consent, demanding that that you continually re-enter your ‘‘‘ID. Code’’’ whenever they “upgrade” your copy of their app, not to mention forcibly imposing their “updates”  upon you, making it so that you cannot shut down your computer without installing their “update”, containing changes which are not even disclosed to you.

 

This is yet a further infringement upon your personal property rights, and is, no doubt, often in the service of the installation of further surveillance features into your devices, on behalf of the NSA and who knows what other “black ops”/off-budget, taxation-without-representation government agencies, advancing their burgeoning proto-police-state infrastructure.

 

I hold that the next edition of Marx’s Missing Blueprints, in the section of the ‘Amendatory Annex’ addressing the species of property upheld, in its statutes, for an ‘‘‘Equitist’’’ ‘Political-ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY’, should include a declaration that ‘Coercive Software’ is a human rights, personal property rights violation, and outlawing the selling of software for “ownership” which includes coercive features, and which outlaws the offering of “subscriptions” to software which includes coercive features, unless those features are clearly and fully disclosed to prospective buyers or subscribers, before they can buy or subscribe.
