the key themes of Seldonian Theory.
The 7th text in

Seldon
–
“Karl Marx wrote, circa
Spring, 1845, in his eighth thesis on Feuerbach, as follows –
“All
social life is essentially practical.
All mysteries which lead theory to mysticism find their rational
solution in human practice and in the comprehension of this practice.”
--
writing this near the very beginning of the amazing series of revelations and
discoveries that drove his amazing achievements in the comprehension of
human-social history, and in the ‘pre-construction’ of our potential future
history, that eventually made him known world-historically, world-wide, as well
as the most cited scholar of all time – ‘the Isaac Newton of human-social
science’.”
“In
his treatise Capital: A Critique of Political
Economy, volumes I through IV, he implemented the prescription of his
thesis 8.”
“He
strove to solve the paradoxical mysteries of the contemporary capital-relation-based
civilization/social formation that had mystified almost all of the classical
political economists, those capitalist ideology-compromised, attempted “scientists” of capitalist-epoch history, although they tended to project the
capitalist system onto all of the human past, and onto all of our futurity, as
do “economist” ideologists today -- the past was “The Flintstones”; the future
can only be “The Jetsons”.”
“Marx
so implemented by paying the most detailed attention to what his contemporary
human beings were actually doing, as agents, and as “personifications”, of capital
as their predominant “social relation of production”, as well as to the
recorded doings of past human beings.”
“That
is, he sought to comprehend the actual human praxis, within/as capital, the
totality of the human activity that constituted the capitalist system;
to comprehend ‘the capital-praxis’ of ‘capitalist humanity’ – the human praxis of
the capital-relation-centered instar of the human species.”
“Even the remarkable algebra that he developed to help present his findings arose from this approach.”
“Its C—M—C’ and M—C—M’
formulas are abstracts of human praxis. Its symbols, C and M, represent human
agents and “personifications” of capitalist economic value, engaged in the
activities of ‘exchange-values exchanges’, as represented by the
dash-connectors, ‘—’.”
