This blog-entry is for the purpose of offering, for your consideration, the following comment from our co-founder, Karl Seldon.

 

 

 

Seldon –

 

“Three errant “scientific” ideologies have dominated “scientific” cosmology, due, we hold, to ‘‘‘psychohistorical’’’ causations, during the, still present, ‘descendence-phase’ of capitalism’s history –

 

1.  “Steady-State Theory” – An attempt to uphold a crypto-‘Parmenideanoid stasis’, ironically though admitting a kind of – steadying – eternal change in an expanding universe.

 

2.  Cyclical “Big Bang”/“Big Crunch” Theories – Attempting to limit cosmological change to an eternally-repeating cycle of [re-]expansion followed by re-contraction; another form of rescue for ‘Parmenideanoid stasis’, when viewed «sub specie aeternitatis».

 

3.  “Entropic Doom”/“Big Rip” – Both of these are ‘Doomist’ paradigms, befitting the mood of the ‘descendence-phase’, capitalist-anticapitalist ruling class [especially that of the later, ‘Rocke-Nazi’, ‘humanocidal’ ruling faction], positing a universal death of our universe, hence a universal death of humanity as part and parcel thereof, albeit in two, somewhat distinct, or even opposite, ways.”

 

“But what astronomers and cosmologists have actually found out about our universe, empirically, is that it is self-accelerating, and has self-accelerated, in its self-expansion, albeit at varying rates, throughout its directly, empirically known [measured] & indirectly-inferred existence, leading toward a new, profoundly unexpected, fourth paradigm of cosmology.”

 

“This, the anti-entropic continual self-expansion of our cosmos, continually adding new energy-density to itself; to the, already-dominant, component of the energy-density of this cosmos [named, aptly enough, for its namers, “Dark Energy”] -- THIS option, the right option, was the only option that the physics, astronomy and cosmology “scientific” communities NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED in any serious way, if at all.”

 

“Doesn’t this fact suggest that there is something deeply wrong, deeply amiss, deeply misguided, with the “instincts”, with the “intuitions” – and about the biases, partly conscious, partly probably not conscious – of those “scientific communities”?”

 

“This fourth paradigm has precursors, albeit unscientific, mystical precursors, in the philosophy of Hegel’s erstwhile mentor, Schelling, and in the [“secret”] Mormon doctrine of “Eternal Progression”.  But these are, of course, not scientific hypotheses.”
